Asian & Pacific Islander Student Recognition Ceremony
May 2015
The Office of School-Family Partnerships held the 2nd Annual Asian & Pacific Islander Student Recognition Ceremony May 28, 2015 in the ½ûÂþÌìÌà Board Auditorium. Twenty graduating seniors of Asian or Pacific Islander heritage were honored for their leadership and accomplishments.
The API award ceremony is an opportunity for family and friends to celebrate the accomplishments of our API high school graduates. Students that have been selected are individually recognized and receive a certificate of excellence. The program highlights students for their academic achievement, community service, overcoming daily difficulties and graduating high school.
This year, Chi Lan Ha, a former Valedictorian graduate of Grant High School, served as keynote speaker.
The event included a light dinner and the event was open to the public.
