Announcing the 8th Annual International Youth Leadership Conference

We are grateful to the educators and staff at Portland State University for their 5th year of support in celebrating the linguistic and cultural assets that our Emergent Bilingual Students bring to ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ. We also appreciate the support of ½ûÂþÌìÌà staff and teachers as they help to register their students. And a big shout out to the dozens of presenters and exhibitors from our community who will share their valuable knowledge and experience with the hundreds of EBs who bring their own enthusasiam for the day. 

The IYLC is an opportunity for students to learn and network with fellow students, educators and community leaders in the Portland area.

In the morning, students partake in a general assembly and presentation by a keynote speaker. Students then break into cohorts for two separate workshops focusing on themes of leadership, multi-cultural appreciation, and preparation for college/career. Students also have opportunities to meet with college and business recruiters and campus tours provided by Portland State Univeristy.
