    Meet the Team

At Bridger Creative Science School we are critical thinkers, courageous problem-solvers, and compassionate community builders. Our mission as student service providers is to foster an environment where students are empowered to be co-creators in their educational experience and to develop their academic, social-emotional and career readiness skills.

We believe that schools can be safe, inspiring places for all students to be themselves and thrive and we are grateful to partner with this community to play a part in that!

Hi there! I’m Kate (she/her) and this is my 4th year as a school counselor in ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ! I got my start working with students in Long Beach, CA and when I moved to Portland in 2010, I continued nonprofit youth work until I took a job in the main office at Creative Science School in 2014. From there I discovered I truly wanted to be a professional school counselor and went back to school. I love this work and I’m so grateful to move alongside CSS into our BCS era.

When I’m not at school you can find me reading, painting, swimming, watching movies, and laughing with my friends. Could this be the year I finally get all the kids to start calling me “Cool Kate”? Fingers crossed!

Hello! My name is Hannah (she/her), and I graduated from the school counseling program at Lewis & Clark College in 2023. Before heading to graduate school, I spent time in Oakland working in the technology sector and then in Seattle working for education-focused nonprofits. I couldn’t stay away from Portland for too long however – I have strong ties to the community and ½ûÂþÌìÌà having spent my entire K-12 education journey here!

In my free time, I’m probably walking my dog Jojo (named after the potato wedge of course), exploring the Oregon Coast, cooking and/or spending time with my family and friends.

Hello! My name is Pedro Anglada Cordero. I am from Barceloneta, Puerto Rico. I have been living in Portland, Oregon for almost 20 years. I graduated from the Portland State University Graduate School of Social Work in 2010, although I have worked in the field since 2006. I have served in the city of Portland in different capacities, and have deep ties in the community. I am part of a mutual aid network serving basic needs to families facing food insecurity. Before becoming a social worker, I worked as a field biologist in El Yunque rainforest assisting in ecological research for the University of Puerto Rico through the Long Term Ecological Research.

During my free time, I like to spend time with my family. I enjoy gardening, and the outdoors. I like reading, writing and art.

Hi there! I’m Paige (she/her) and this is my 1st year as a restorative justice coordinator in ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ! I recently moved from Texas where I spent the last three years as a 3rd grade teacher. Before then, I worked as a social worker for many years and one year as a school counselor. I love getting to be in a school and helping students, families and staff. I love that at BCS we are about critical thinking and problem solving. I graduated with a BS in psychology and Masters in Social Work and consider myself a lifelong learner.

When I’m not at school, you can find me hiking, creating, reading, watching movies and shows, and hanging with my dogs, Shiner & Rudy.

Hello! I’m so excited to be here at BCS as your Community Agent. I live in the neighborhood with my husband and two kids and am proud to call this community my home. I grew up in Northern CA and received my B.A. in Art from U.C. Berkeley, and spent my early professional career as director of hospitality, and wedding & event planner in wine country. I really enjoy being around young people and helping to make meaningful connections. I love making new friends, hanging with my family, eating yummy food, growing flowers in my garden, and painting! Please stop by and introduce yourself if you see me in the halls or around town!

  • Chandler GianattasioChandler Gianattasio

    Behavior Intervention Specialist
    Grades K-8
    cgianattasio@pps.net

Hey there! I’m Chandler, this is my first year at ½ûÂþÌìÌà as a Behavior Intervention Specialist. I have Bachelors degrees in Biology and Chemistry with a Masters in Education. I moved here last year from Florida where I worked with neurodiverse students as a teacher and learning specialist. From this experience, I discovered my passion for working with students who are misunderstood and not getting their needs met. I love collaborating with students and teachers to find creative ways to help students feel heard and thrive!

When I’m not at school, you can find me at the dog park with my two dogs, Findley and Cooper. I also love to go on hikes, camp, snowboard, and I’ve recently started kite boarding! I’m very excited to be here, and I can’t wait to get to know you all!
