    About the Show
    Once Upon a Mattress is a musical comedy adaptation of the 1835 Hans Christian Andersen fairytale “The Princess and the Pea”. Originally opening on Broadway in 1959, Once Upon A Mattress introduced the world to the comedic talents of Carol Burnett.The show has had two Broadway revivals, one in 1996 with Sarah Jessica Parker as Winnifred and one currently showing on Broadway with Sutton Foster as Winnifred. Once Upon a Mattress asks the question: who gets to be a princess? In this fractured fairytale, a non-traditional princess must pass a rigged royalty test to prove her identity and worthiness, with the fate of the kingdom hanging in the balance. This hilarious musical runs approximately 2.5 hours with an intermission. The show is family-friendly and kids are welcome to attend!
