    School Based Health Centers

    Student Health Centers are located at schools across Multnomah County. You don’t need to attend the school where the center is located. Any youth in grades K-12 who live or go to school in Multnomah County can come to our clinics at no cost. Appointments are recommended but walk-ins are welcome.

    School Based Dental Resources

    Dental Sealants: The program offers dental sealants at 37 ½ûÂþÌìÌà (½ûÂþÌìÌÃ) for students in grades 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, and 8th. It includes oral health education and promotes oral hygiene among students. A dental hygienist provides screenings and applies sealants to prevent cavities

    Referral Services

    Referral services are available to any student in any grade who has urgent dental needs (e.g., tooth pain or infection), whether they have insurance. To make a referral, please contact the Multnomah County School and Community Oral Health Program at (503) 988-3905. A representative will assist you in scheduling an appointment for the student with their own provider or at one of Multnomah County’s dental clinics.

    The Tooth Taxi is a 38-foot mobile dental clinic that brings dental care directly to children by visiting schools and other community sites. The dental staff assesses each child's oral health and provides comprehensive care, including exams, x-rays, sealants, cleanings, fillings, and minor oral surgery—all free of charge.
    ¡ñ Oral Health Education:
    The Tooth Taxi also provides oral health education through classroom presentations, teaching kids how to prevent tooth decay and how a healthy mouth can affect overall health.

    Multnomah County Clinics

    Multnomah County provides low-cost family health care at seven locations. Open to all Multnomah County residents, including those who are low-income and uninsured.

     

    Services

    Pharmacy, dental and WIC services are also available at some locations. All locations have someone who can assist you with applying for the Oregon Health Plan.
