Winterhaven PTSA
The Winterhaven PTSA is a parent, teacher, and student organization designed to offer support, create community building opportunities, and fund raise to provide our teachers and students with academically enriching experiences. Winterhaven has an amazing community and the PTSA exists to support and elevate this as much as we can.
Here are ways you can get involved:
1 - Join the PTSA
The PTSA has many opportunities for parents to get involved. We encourage you to become a PTSA member to have a say in funding decisions and PTSA programs for the year. You can purchase your membership online at . Any parent with an active PTA membership is allowed to vote at the Winterhaven Community meetings. You will have a voice in budget decisions and other important meeting topics. Also, all parents are welcome to join us for Community Meetings, which are listed on our calendar link.
2 - Connect
Get your family registered on Konstella. Konstella is a school-wide messaging system where you can get all school news and updates, as well as connect with other parents and teachers through the messaging app. You can sign up for Konstella here: If you run into any issues just reach out to Mari at WinterhavenPTSA@gmail.com. You can also connect with us through the Winterhaven PTSA Facebook page .
3 - Donate
A financial donation is the best and easiest way to support Winterhaven and the PTSA. This fully tax-deductable investment will enable us to consistently fund essential programs throughout the adacemic year. The Winterhaven PTSA provides scholarships for after-school programs, funding for: tutoring, equipment, middle school dances, field trips, and other classroom needs. We host community events such as the Fall Frolic and Spring Carnival. Here are ways to donate:
- Annual Pledge Drive: Each year the PTSA encourages the Winterhaven community to come together and support our PTSA Pledge Drive. Our goal is to raise the $70,000.00 needed to fund the resources that will improve the educational experience for every student in our school. To make this vision a reality, we ask each family to donate $200.00 per student. This donation can be made via Konstella, where a new link is provided each year.

- Apply your Bottle Drop proceeds -
- Attend Dine Out events. We partner with local restaurants to host dine-in events where sale proceeds go to the Winterhaven PTSA. We have partnered with Hopworks Brewery, Gigantic Brewing, Chipotle, Krispy Kreme, and Kona Ice!
- During PTSA -hosted events such as MAC Run, Fall Frolic, and the Spring Carnival and Auction.

Volunteering can be as time-consuming or as easy as you would like. There are so many opportunities to volunteer at Winterhaven. Please keep an eye out for opportunities posted on Konstella and inside Nancy's newsletter. If you have a special skill you would like to share, please let us know. As we gear up for a year filled with learning, growth, and community engagement, we wanted to highlight the importance of our school's communication platform, Konstella, and how it can be your ultimate tool to stay informed and connected. Konstella stands as the central hub for all things related to our school's events, opportunities, and communication.To make the most of your experience on Konstella, here are some key actions to take:
• Update Your Student's Classroom: Ensure that your profile is linked to your student's current classroom. This ensures that you receive class-specific updates and announcements directly relevant to your child's activities and progress. TO UPDATE: Under your name in the upper lefthand corner select YOUR CHILDREN. You will then see an option to change classrooms to your student’s current grade.• Join a Committee: From a Desktop: Click on Committee in the left sidebar to view the many openings, explore role descriptions, and sign up. From your phone app: Tap “Directory”, then select “Browse Committees” to access the openings, role descriptions, and sign up options.• Join or Create Social Groups: Enhance your community connections by joining or even creating social groups. These groups provide an avenue for like-minded parents to connect, share insights, and foster a stronger sense of belonging within our school community.• Stay Updated with the Feed and Calendar: Keep an eye on the feed for important extracurricular updates, reminders, and news. The calendar feature allows you to mark essential dates, ensuring you never miss an event or deadline.• Volunteer with Ease: If you're interested in volunteering for school events, Konstella is your go-to platform. Event sign-ups and coordination happen seamlessly here, making it convenient for you to contribute and participate in enhancing our school's experiences.• Access PTSA and Community Information: Konstella provides a gateway to PTSA board updates, community meetings, and notes. It's an excellent resource to stay informed about what's happening in our school community.To Create An Account: In a web browser go to At the top right of the screen click the link for “Find My School.” Search for Winterhaven and follow the prompts.
