Cafeteria Services at Alameda
Nutrition Services
Darlene West runs the Alameda kitchen and nutrition program, which is a part of ½ûÂþÌìÌà Nutrition Services. Alameda offers students daily lunch and breakfast, and a la cart milk. Students’ plastic lunch cards are stored, organized by grade level, along the north wall of the Cafetorium.
Funding your child’s account
Parents may fund their kids’ cards in person in the cafeteria or, for a small fee, through the website link. Alameda Nutrition Services will notify parents when students’ lunch accounts need replenishment. Additionally, the ½ûÂþÌìÌà Nutrition Services website includes applications/income qualifications for free and reduced lunch.
Cafeteria Helpers
Fourth grade students have an opportunity to volunteer in the school cafeteria as lunch helpers. Students help serve food in the lunch line and assist with other daily cafeteria tasks. Cafeteria helpers are trained and supervised by Nutrition Services Staff.
